Grief Space

As part of RE_NATURE Festival, I am hosting a two-day outdoor space that offers room for grief practices, talks, circles, ceremonies and togetherness focused on eco-grief and climate anxiety. It is a space for collective grief, personal grief, skill exchange, and rest.

A movement-based workshop exploring grief, emotional intensity, and bodily agency through dance—drawing from acupuncture, somatic practice, and queer ecofeminist thought to ask: What will you do with your superpower of feeling?

A gentle, somatic listening ritual weaving embodiment, non-movement, sensory attunement, and mark-making to hold space for grief—tenderly rooted in connection with natural surroundings and grounded in BIPOC, queer, trans, and Disabled communities.

An intimate neo‑ritual blending water, scent, and symbolic flowers—participants craft their own flower talisman as a personal gesture of remembrance and connection to ancestors and lost loved ones, following an indigenous ritual.

A participatory, ritual-infused writing workshop that guides grief's transformation—from private elegy through symbolic release to rebirth—crafting a shared terrain of loss that blooms into communal resilience and hope.

An ephemeral voice ritual where grief, rage, and tenderness intermingle as sonic alchemy—movement and layered vocal textures become liberatory spells, forging an intimate ensemble of transformation, presence, and shared healing.

What if healing is impossible, amidst fractured ecosystems and bodyminds? Tending to signs of illness and decay around us, we gather to tell stories of rot, rest, and restoration beyond dominant narratives of health: collectively brewing a bubbling potion for queer*crip futures.

!Embrace the bog as a portal to the unknown, navigating personal and collective grief through guided meditation, imagination exercises, and creative writing, fostering transformation in murky times.

A sensory ritual circle that invites participants to rest into the earth, whisper into a shared vessel, and embody grief through ground, herbs, and silence. Drawing from Hospicing Modernity, this practice offers a threshold for collective transformation.

During the opening hours of Grief Space, you'll be able to scribble a textual-herbal bundle-spell with either a wish or a letting something go, which can be burned in a delicate anthropomorphic ceramic herbal stove. Please seek out Venus for this.
