Educating

I frequently teach at visual art programs, both bachelor and masters, as guest tutor or with courses by my own design in the fields of Futurisms, Art & Ecology, Queer Ecology, Visual & Performing Arts, Decolonial Practice, and Intentional Design. I also create workshops, speak at symposia, give artist talks, conduct studio visits, and offer other educational contributions, such as private and/or group mentoring. Check below for past experiences — I am open to collaborate!

2025 Future fields

Future Fields —
Tutor BEAR ArtEZ (BA)
Tutor Ecology Futures MA(BFA)

In 2023, I taught Future Fields at BEAR, ArtEZ, Arnhem (NL). A 6-week course that considered how speculative futures can contribute to new relations with the land, and "new" ways of living, prompted by ongoing climate and societal change.  In this course, I collaborated with Four Siblings project in Amsterdamwhere students went to do field work on the land. In the course, students are asked to consider art-making, filmmaking, writing, farming, land-skills, story-telling and rituals as tools to conjure more just futures.

The years before, In 2021 —  2022, I initially designed and taught Future Fields at Ecology Futures MA, MIVC|St. Joost, Den Bosch (NL) invited by Xandra van der Eijk. In what was first a full year-course, I hosted sessions with guest speakers such as Chihiro Geuzenbroek. The course focussed on developing 'progressive' more-than-human futurities. They also looked at a queering of the world, investigating colonial and industrial sentiments hidden in futurisms and concepts such as " nature". For deeper informaton, read:  Future fields
