Earthbound Symposium 2023

𖦹 EARTHBOUND 2023 – Sensuous knowledge and the planet’s future

Every two years Earthwise Residency + Secret Hotel (DK) organize a biannual symposium investigating sensuous knowledge in relation to the Planet’s Future through the Arts and Sciences.


The aim is to bring together performing artists, visual artists, musicians, scientists, anthropologists, philosophers, researchers and other people with a holistic approach to or interest in the broad yet essential topic of the earth and her future. Their very first symposium in 2018 famously hosted Anna Tsing.


The upcoming 2023 symposium includes workshops, talks and debates, with 5 workshop days scheduled throughout a 7-day event between the Earthwise Residency farmlands in the Mols Bjerge National Park. and Aarhus University.

- Sámi scholar and duojár Liisa-Rávna Finborg
- Queer visual artist and musician Venus Jasper
- Norwegian-Sámi choreographer and dancer Katarina Skår Lisa
- Art critic Trine Rytter Andersen, and others.
