On this day of the “blood moon” total lunar eclipse I share big news. Over the last two years I've been working on a very special music record, which is very close to being completed. Check the below video to learn about the project, and immerse yourself in some of the sounds, lyrics, images and topics of the project. I would be so very honored to receive your support for the final stages. Enjoy!

What is Bzz BZz?
The dark music premiere Bzz Bzz is the result of an artistic exploration of murky, angry and transcendental feelings heated and molded together in the crucible of climate decay, rising fascisms, and the lethal death-spasms of Empire. Bzz Bzz is part of the Wetlands Worship project, which so far includes live performances in Lithuania and Iceland, a Music-Video and several costumes and Art installations. With this new music record I want to support the continuation of the project and my artistic/musical career, including upcoming live-performances that fuse music and rituals and audiovisuals for audiences everywhere.
During the 12 immersive tracks of Bzz Bzz, Venus takes us on a rusty and metallic crooked vessel, leading us towards a dark and emotional island - an animistic world where murky bogs are sacred, build from the samples of insects, water, storms, metals and chainsaws, which together with both acoustic and electronic instruments, carrying eccentric vocals. The cathartic, experimental and cinematographic soundscape creates spacious and at times upbeat ritualistic experiences, as the record confronts us with times that are, and the times that are to come.

Collaborators
The record comprises two sides, composed and produced by Venus Jasper using synths, noise machines, strings, wind singer, percussion, and electronic sample-based ambient and rhythm in support of vocals, texts, and the overall concept of the record. Supporting instrumentalists are Rosa Ronsdorf (synth/keys), Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti (electric guitar), Franky Rosaly (percussion) and Ruben Dahmen (bass clarinet). The mix is being done with Djatá Bart-Plange. Graphic design, mastering, and record-label are currently being sorted.
Why the crowdfunding?
I want to finish the record, hire a mixer and master-person, pay some folx for recording a few more instrumentals, and do some hours in the vocal studio. Additionally, I want to design the record of course, in collaboration. And, last but definitely not least: I want to press the record so you can have a copy, and naturally promote it AF! AND of course, continue to make live-performances that fuse music and rituals and audiovisuals for audiences everywhere.
