Blauwe Zone Festival

𖦹 Come say "Hi" at my Studio during the Blue Zone Festival in Amsterdam West!

Who, What, Where?

Hosted by Van Eesteren Museum, various cultural institutions, artists and makers in Amsterdam Nieuw-West will open their doors during the first weekend of July to offer special programming. One of these locations is my artist studio building, Lycka.

Wetlands Worship?‍

At the moment, I am working on Wetlands Worship: an artistic research project on the speculation and revival of queer kinship with wetlands, the investigation of drained and wet swamps and bogs, the sentiments of wetland goddesses, new rituals, musical offerings and sculptural works that involve craft, fish-leather, metals, stones, waterworks, and ceramic effigies.

After four international trips and shows abroad, I am now working in my studio on a new installation, a video work, several sculptures, and a music record, and I am excited to share and have you over at my new art studio.

Come!

Have a drink, see costumes up close, watch the full Murky Murky video, see my installation-in-process, feel vibes, buy art, catch up and hang out! There will be some bubbles, but bring yours too.

XOXO
venus
